Compress/limiting the audio master buss for gaming videos.. ?

Hello, so being a new Vegas Pro user (only few months into it) i was manually reducing the master bus level whenever i saw my gaming videos going too far. Then i read about limiting/compressing. I have settled for a Track Compressor from -8 db at a 3:1 ratio. Is that okay or should i tweak it? My gaming videos are not always loud but there are some violence sequences that go loud from time to time..

I also got eFX with Soundforce 12. Should i use eFX Compressor instead of the Vegas Pro Track Compressor.. ? Better quality ? Thanks !

Is you want to LEARN compression, Vegas has decent plugins to play with. If you want to just fix and go, get the free LOUDMAX. Set to -9 and -1, and forget. NO clipping.
