Compression issue

My edited piece on (Movie studio platinum) runs 90 minutes; I am unable to put it
on a single DVD (via DVD Architect) because the space requirement is close to
5.6 gigs!

I am under the impression that a 2hr movie will easily fit on a regular 4.7 gb DVD.
What am I doing wrong?

Please help.

Export on a lossless codec instead of mpeg2, load it on DVDA, and there, there's an option to make the video fit by re-encoding it once more. Do that with a lossless codec though, so there's only one lossy re-encoding, not two.
