You have not given any information on your computer. It's cpu make and model, how much ram, type of gpu and if it's a laptop or desktop. Your user profile is blank, so couldn't go by any info there.

It could be a heat issue since NLE's put a lot of stress on the computer hardware. It could be something you are doing, but you gave no specifics as to what you were doing to what type of video clip.

You haven't mentioned has this been since the installation of VP17 or is something new.

I have a Dell XPS all in one desktop. Intel Core i7, 3.1 GHZ 16 GB RAM. Intel HD Graphics 4600, NVIDIA GEFORCE GT750M. I was working in Vegas Pro17 on a multicam project (2 cameras) when my computer kept shutting down and restarting. I have done many multicams projects and have never had an issue to recently. I ended up using my laptop to finish the multicam and imported that project back to my desktop and was able to finish and render without a problem. I had this shut down issue several weeks ago when a client gave me footage on a compact flash card. I believe they were MOV files and my computer did not like something about those and kept shutting down as well. Thank you again!
