I've been having a problem with my computer locking up when I'm using Vegas...it happens once or twice every 2-5 hours or so when I'm editing...ctrl + alt + del does nothing...so I'm forced to power down and restart...BUT when I press my power button on my laptop, I get a popup window that asks if I want to save the changes to whatever project I'm working on yet the computer is still frozen...so then I press the power button again and hold it for 5-10 seconds and then the computer shuts down...any idea what the problem could be? I've got a Dell Latitude laptop PIII 600 w/128MB RAM, a Maxtor 1394 card which is hooked to my Maxtor 3000DV external hard drive on one port and my Sony DVMC-DA2 on the other...I'm previewing on an external monitor and I've got the "recompress frames" box checked so that I can see fx and transitions on my monitor...this is the only problem I've ever had with Vegas...
