computer shut down

computer shuts down when i click on dvda every now and then, i have windows xp pro

Go to Control Panel, Perm/Main. Then Event Viewer. See if Windows is nagging about something (it will have a red circle with a white X through it. Then see if it is really DVD-A issue or something else.
