Configuring Contour Shuttle Pro

Just got the Shuttle2Pro and wondered if anyone has any helpful tips for configuring it.

This is real basic: Do you control it with the hand that's not controlling the PC mouse?

Is ti easy to switch configurations for different apps? Vegas to Boris Red to After Effects, etc?

Haven't installed it yet 'cause I'm reinstalling WinXPPro. I'll reload apps this weekend.

Thanks in advance for any time (or grief)saving tips!

Yes, that's how I do it. Left hand on Shuttle Pro, Right hand on Mouse.

Yes. It automatically detects the active program and uses whatever settings you have specified for that program. You may need to download the latest drivers.

My own preference is to have the left button start and pause, (ENTER)
The right button start and return to the starting point, (SPACE BAR)
and the three on top CUT, COPY and PASTE.
I use the jog wheel in place of the ARROWS and the outer ring to scrub.
I also use a Microsoft Explorer track ball with additional bells and whistles to suppliment my lazyness/work flow efficiancy. Scroll wheel zooms in and out of the timeline and serves as LEFT CLICK, button #1 = BACK, button # 2 = DELETE, button # 3 = RIGHT CLICK, button #4 = CLOSE. I also have a foot operated LEFT CLICK for clicking and dragging, great for Photoshop. Ttried several other configurations and found that this one works for me. I have to leave the room when I watch other people struggle with just a conventional mouse.
