David might want to fix that link as it tries to redirect to a Sony page. :)

Good news. I will update or German information page.

So, I assume that the playback capabilities have now been improved in Vegas 7 too?

And is it possible again to keep the improved codec in Vegas 7, even when I do not purchase Connect HD 3.2?

For the true performance kick we hope to get under Vegas we are waiting for feedback from the Sony engineers. Vegas is accessing our codec less than optimally. This release will like be faster in Vegas 6 yet 7 we still expect to do more enhancements.

If I have files previously captured with 3.2, I assume they're still the same 2.7 codec? Or should I update those files in some fashion?

Ok, but frankly spoken that means, that we will have to wait until Vegas 7b, to see an performance increase in Vegas 7?

Wolfgang,

No, I don't say that. Either Sony fixes the problem or we work around the problem (so unrelated to 7.0b.) In the meantime it works fine on all Vegas versions. We would just like to see Vegas get a bit more up to speed like our PPro products. We determined one the reason for this, which is good news, so we can expect more performance later. I'm just hoping to save ourselfs some work and Sony engineers correct the issue, but we're not relying on it.
