Considering a "modern" GPU

I would like to take advantage of MVS15's faster rendering, but have an older computer with a Radeon 6450. Another poster noted that, given my overall system, I might as well plan on a new one to handle a better GPU. MVS so far only refers to such items as "modern," which is no help to me. I am not a pro, not a gamer, have no plans for files above 1080 HD, and have to consider my constrained investment for the longer term than many may find possible. I may need something custom-built; many current big-manufacturer cases don't seem to provide bays for my M-Disc and Lightscribe drives, which I presently need.

Can someone point me in the direction of relatively lower-end GPUs that conform to MVS's "modern" specification for using the software's new capability? Thanks.

Anything in the Nvidia Geforce GTX 10 series should do you good, as they support NVENC and that can be used to dramatically speed up vegas renders. I am using a 9 series GPU myself, a 970GTX, and am impressed with the encoding results even at 4K resolution. Here is a 10 series card for under $200.
