Considering to Purchase

Hi, I'm considering to purchase Video Factory 2.0 and have a few questions that perhaps some users could answer.

(1) What is the longest video you can produce?
(2) Is it possible to take a film clip or still, and simply drag it into the middle of another clip so that it inserts itself there (without overlapping)?
(3) Are there any lip-synch issues with long films? (20-30 minues).
(4) What are the major drawbacks to the product?

Thanks,
Michael

AFAIK limited only by free drive space. I've had over 40 GB on the timeline at once and easily made a single video with only 256 MB RAM.

Yes.

(3) Are there any lip-synch issues with long films? (20-30 minues).

I'll defer to that since my video mostly have background music and/or limited to brief vocals, so not a issue for me.

I can't think of a single major problem. A handful of minor issues. Some have reported difficulity getting certain cameras to interface. The HSL filter only works with AVI, not directly if rendering in MPEG. Burning directly to a CD in VCD format is limited. No direct support for SVCD. If rendering to MPEG limited to one included CODEC, however multiple templates with various bitrates included.

Considering Video Factory has only been out for about a year and is only at version two it already gives any video editor regardless of price stiff competition. Loaded with features, easy to use, yet supports many advanced features other products don't have.
