Constant crashes and really laggy playback

It is becoming hard to do much of anything right now as this program is constantly crashing on me. I've sent dozens of crash reports just in the last day. At this rate it looks like i'll be going back to MS12 since it is WAAAY more stable and i only get a crash once every blue moon. But it was the same with MS13, crashed every 10 minutes or so. MS13 seems to run just fine on my WIN10 laptop, but it isn't near as powerful as my WIN7 desktop. I have a feeling this is something to do with WIN7 more than anything else, which is really sad guys.

Also, when compared to similar uses with MS12, the playback is extremely laggy. Just a simple Main track with a single PnP track and the playback is horrendous compared to the same setup and settings from MS12. Again, using the SAME settings as MS12, which would playback the same main track with single PnP track flawlessly at full resolution. I can't even get decent playback at low resolution. SAME SETTINGS as MS12 (stating again because there are lots of ppl who don't like to read)

WIN7-64
i5 3.1GHz
16GB ram
GeForce GTX 970 4GB

Again, this system worked beautifully for MS12, could run a main with 2 PnP tracks at full resolution playback just fine. But MS14 just won't have it.

Here no problem at the hardware listed in my signature.
Sad for you to stay at MS 12.
Maybe time to try Windows 10?

As malware(esk) as Microsoft went to trick ppl into W10 i refuse to go there. If they had to trick people in order to get conversions then something isn't right. I have lots of other issues with W10 that i don't feel like going into Plus it is never smart to switch to the newest Windows until its been out for a year or two and they've released a couple of service packs to fix all the issues.

W7 is still going strong, whats wrong with writing software that works with it.
