Constant Quality ? + Sony/Sonic Partner Query !!

I use TMPG to encode files in Constant Quality (KDVD templates), this is so I can squeeze around 7 hours in SVCD quality on a DVD. Any ideas if the programmers have thought of adding this feature to Vegas ? TMPG is fairly cheap, so I imagine it wouldn't cost much more to add it for the next version.

Secondly will Vegas 5 be written by Sonic Foundry programmers or Sony ones ? I am a bit confused. I have loved Sonic Foundry products since Sound Forge 4 and I am a little worried things will change now due to the take over. Does anyone know ?

The Sonic Foundry programmers are now Sony programmers, so I don't really know how to answer.
You can call customer service, or any other dept of SoFo, and you'll be answered by the same great bunch of people you're used to talking to. Only now, they are Sony employees.

You can do this in Vegas as well. Simply click on the "Custom" button after you select "Render As" from the File menu. From there go to the video tab, select Constant Bitrate and set the bitrate as low as you want.
