"Contact Support" not operating/App Crash w/Render

I've never had this much trouble asking a company a technical issue.
I have tried for three hours to ask a question. After ironing out my account, password, username, I tried to ask a question. My only response has been your submission cannot be sent at this time.
Any advice?

I'll write my question here. The more and more I write this question into dialog boxes, the shorter and less in detail it gets. I'm about ready to start using windows movie maker, at least it does 1080p60.

Greetings,

I have a question. When rendering files in the 720p, 1080i, and 1080p formats (Both Main Concept MPEG-2 and Sony AVC) The render aborts and the programs shuts down automatically.
Most movies I try to render are under 5 minutes with only crossfades and disolves for effects. Normal camcorder tracks for sound. Maybe a music track also. Usually 5.1ch sound.
Source video is from a Panasonic HDC-TM900 recorded in AVCHD or 1080/60p (I have tried both).
When using SONY AVC render engine, I get an error report with details, before the programs shuts down. When I use Main Concept MPEG-2 rendering engine, the programs stops with out any warnings. Sometimes I get a Windows 7 program has stopped working dialog with an appcrash report, but not always.
My goal is to render videos to store on the hard drive in the 1280x720x30p, 1920x1080x30i, or 1080x60p.
Vegas has worked with large megapixel stills while making slide shows in Full HD, but when using video clips it seems to hang no matter what function I choose.
What is the hang up and how can I complete my tasks with out program crashes?
I really like the Sony editing format in Vegas, and I don't intend to switch to a different brand of video editing program.
Thank you.

Could be a memory issue.
Seems that Windows have some difficulties - even with Microsofts own programs like the Flight Simulator etc. -
The issue can be improved by this:

I'm thinking you are correct. I'm not sure that I want to try that just yet.
Sound like a risk to me.
I did get through to "Ask a question" today.
It seems like Version 9 is too old and there is no longer any support for it. The upgrade is $84.95 US dollars. Since that about the cost of the full version, it's time for me to shop around and see what else is available form other vendors. It's a shame cause I like the work flow of Vegas. It is very natural to edit video and sound, just no backing from sony on a program that I've only had for a year and so many months. Thanks for the help. If I don't find anything else, I'll tweak the old version or use the converter in the camera to change to a different file type.

Later.

The patch is working.
Also, it should be not difficult to get some coupon to lower the price.
I got a 20% off link within the Sony tech answer to one question about a bug of VMS 11
