The ShuttlePro rules! It works really well with Sound Forge, Acid, and even Video Factory too.

I use the Contour ShuttlePro all the time with VV3 & love it!

Why? Can you elaborate?
mako wrote on 9/10/2002, 1:56 PM
Sure I'll elaborate. It is really nice to have an ergonomically designed controller for the hand that controls VV3 (or any other program). The keyboard is good, but you need to search for keys to execute functions. I started out using VV with the ShuttlePro right away, so I never got used to using the keyboard.

My take, if $99 isn't too much for you, buy it cause it is easy to get used to and you'll get productivity and enjoyment (yes, really) out of it. If $99 is a lot of money to you, and you like the keyboard, stay with it (you save $99!). How's that?

Is there a website you can refer us too, so we can read more about it? I had thought awhile back that it would be great to be able to assign certain keyboard keys to an external controller. Is this what the shuttle pro does?
Ted_H wrote on 9/10/2002, 3:48 PM
Yes, it allows you to assign basically any key or key combination to a button or the jog wheel.

Is there something like this that can control multiple track levels w/faders, pan, etc... for mixing?
Geoff_Wood wrote on 9/18/2002, 8:24 PM
Just got mine, but haven't figured an optimum configuration yet. Especially the shuttle/jog wheels for audio scrubbing.

Please feel free to email me your 'pref' files for VV3 and SF6 to compare notes geoff@paf.co.nz .

And Ted, how about a set or prefs or two from SF in the download area ?

Contour already supplies these both on their web site and on the software installation CD.
