contracting/expanding audio selections

I've been exploring the demo of VV3, and it doesn't allow me to drag the edge of a selection smoothly. It seems to move in blocks of around 25 or 30 milliseconds. I've toggled grid settings, etc., but can't find a setting to change this. Is there a way to achieve finer control?

There are lots of "snap to.." options make sure they're all off.
The demo is the full version and if the snapping is turned off, then you can do what you want.

Quantise to frames seems to be on....take that off.
