But for now I send every track to an individual mixer bus,
along with "subgroup" bus's and "auxilary send" bus's (for
outboard fx or processing) before they are sent to 3
Soundscape Mixtreme cards (48 Vegas i/o)where you can build
custom mixers to match. These mixers are running off the
mixtreme DSP so are independant of CPU resources and have
no latency problems. This allows the creation of aux sends
to outboard fx etc and they return to more channels on the
mixer. The DSP also runs plugins such as TC reverb.
But the beauty is any object can be assigned to any midi
message. Click the learn button and move the physical
controller you want to use. Automate to sequencer, with
snapshot also.
$1000 got me 2 Tascam TM-D1000 mixers I use as controllors,
42 faders, 32 rotary knobs, 36 illuminated buttons. I also
use a promix for more motorised faders, buttons etc.
Also use an Amulet dx/vst adaptor and you can use hardware
to controll VST plugins within Vegas.....
