I understand they are currently working on support for MMC
which will allow the use of an external controller (i.e. US-
428, HUI, etc.) for mixing in Vegas. (Which will be cool!)

Now where did you hear that from? Seems like this would be
a "Pro" feature and goes against the Sonic Foundry goal of
being an internet based streaming media leader. You don't
need control surfaces to develop streaming media software.
You only need control surfaces if you're working with
clients in a recording studio and need to work efficiently
editing video and mixing audio.

No doubt, I dont think its in the works.
This is LONG LONG LONG overdue, as in, shoulda been in
vegas 1.0c

I've heard it from a source at Sonic Foundry as well as
source at Tascam (making the US-428).

I love vegas, and I hope it grows and lives up to the
potential it showed in version 1.
I hope they have the programmers available to code in
hardware control.
I hope they can fix the routing issues.
I hope they add a batch converter.
I hope above all that they dont run vegas down
the "internet content delivery path" like sound forge.
I hope they dont try to make Vegas an app to buy from Best
Buy or Circuit City!
I hope they add VST support.
I hope they find a realistic I/O system with WAY less
latency.

since i already have the 01v i would definitely love to see
support for that...asio/vst support wouldnt hurt either.

Peace,

I have the O1V, too, which is why I'm looking forward to
the feature. I am hoping it'll behave the same as the Pro
Tools Pro Control system where fader movements are recorded
as envelope information.
