If you look through my post history, you'll find many examples where I point out bugs, disagree with the Vegas defaults (e.g. pre/post toggle), etc. So I'm not sure why you would feel that way.

I think they are letting Glenn be their unofficial spokesman so they don't have to commit themselves or admit to anything.

I think that is why Sony and their close working partners are very absent here regarding the color space and bit depth issues.
Historically people from Sony don't post a lot.

As far as forums go too, this one in particular seems be one of the best and it's because it's made up of users who contribute. I, for one, am grateful for their contributions. Who speaks for who and who works for who and who does what for who is a moot point here. You played Glenn to be a stooge for Sony because you're upset with Sony for some reason. Even though you apparently didn't intend it this way, I took your original post to imply that Glenn and Sony were secretly working together, and that Glenn was just "pretending" to be a helpful guy here.

I can see from your second post that this sincerely was not what you intended to convey, but I bet 95% of the people reading your first post would take it that way.

Well Glen, if you as I know you have the many posts here and at DVi you will know that many people do feel that. It's not that we need a Sony tech here but when such criticism and misunderstanding comes from people like Bill Ravens and Bob "asking" for documentation of the 32-bit implementation an acknowledgement would be nice. And my point was Glenn I think Sony are using you to answer for then because a lot of people have an image of you as a SONY guy. I know I did for a long time

I think you're putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 when the answer should be 3. Would SCS come out of hiding if Glenn wasn't giving up a considerable amount of his time? I don't think so! Does Glenn have access to any information from SCS that we don't, I very, very much doubt it.

Should the SCS guys be here explaing themselves and how their code works. Well it'd be a start however probably less than 1% of Vegas users come here anyway. Maybe 2% might read stuff here and not post. Think about it, despite Glenn's hard work 98% of Vegas users are probably more confussed than we are. i wonder how the users of the foreign language versions are going also.

The only correct solution to this state of affairs is for the documentation to be updated. Not just about this topic, there's also ProType. Are SCS hiding behind anyone on this?

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I'm not saying that training should be included with Vegas and I'm not devaluing the role of those who produce training material. Think of Vegas like you would an aircraft. The flight manuals don't tell you how to fly the plane, they do tell you the vital information about how that aircraft works.

I'm confused way Sony is not pushing white papers and documents on these issues. It must be a staffing and resource issue. If their struggling, they should subcontract out the documents to CourseDesign or similar talent in documentation writing.
