Conversion from QT movie to wmv

I'm trying to convert some QT movies to Windoze wmv files, and have tried VV3.It appears to drop frames off. Any suggestions? Other methods that work?
Here is the link for the movies: www.dostalproject.com, click on movies, then download the Project Introduction. I lose the 4-3-2-1 countdown for starters.

Clues? Better ideas?

Thanks!

We will check this out with the Vegas 4 beta to see if we can repro this.

You are welcome to download and try it with the Vegas 4.0 beta yourself if you'd like. It will require a minimum of QuickTime 5.02. Due to interdependencies among the various components, I've found that I've had to install everything in the QT custom install (additionally including the authoring components isn't sufficient and gives an error).

I don't have anything current going with QT, so I grabbed a sample I found on my drive from whatever software. Winmedia 9 Encoder handles it - free.

Thanks for the replies - I'll check those out.

One tip - when I downloaded the files from Dostal's site, they carried a .movie extension. For them to work in Windows, I renamed the extension to .mov

I've downloaded the V4, now if I can just get a chance to play with it!
