I want to burn DVD with the absolute best quality.

I am not concerned with efficiency, so do you guys have any suggestions? Usually I render uncompressed AVI then burn to disk via DVD archtect. Sometimes unfortunately I have to import from another DVD, which is already compressed - whats the best way to limit to get the max quality?
