Convert NTSC to PAl

I am creating a mpg file made up of mosetly still digital pictures taken with my digital camera. I will then be making a DVD to show friends/family. I need to be able to create both a NTSC and a PAL version.

Now I notice when starting the project in Vegas, you set the properties to either NTSC or Pal. Is there a way to create one project, and render it in both NTSC and PAL, or do I have to start the project off with NTSC and render only this in NTSC, and then have to re-do the whole project using the PAL settings, and render this in PAL (in essence creating two projects for the two formats)?

You're dealing with 60i or 30fps with NTSC and 50i or 25fps with PAL so you're formats are different. You should be able to render to one format, change your project properties to the other and render at that format. No re-doing of the project aside from changing project properties with the project already completed and on the timeline. As for burning the DVD.. I don't do any work in PAL but imagine that you'd be fine with one or the other on the DVD. Not both together.

As I see in another post down below.. you'll also want to make sure pan / crop is set to the PAL aspect ratio as well. Could be some more work in it for you but I recall there maybe a script out there that may help with your pan / crop settings..
