Convert using Studio or let DVD Architect do it?

Just curious on this one.

I have a non compliant file that I want to eventually get on a DVD disc and playback on a entertainment DVD player.

My normal process would be to load it into Vegas and then render it to DVD NTSC specs and then burn it............all under my control.

However, if I understand correctly, when you load a non-DVD compliant file into DVD Architect Studio, it will perform the necessary conversion/compression on the fly........skipping the Vegas step.

I haven't actually tried this, so I was wondering if there is an advantage either way as far a quality...etc?

Comments, suggestions.
Thanks

My understanding is that Studio does not have the custom template options for bitrate that Vegas Pro (which I own) has.

Therefore, if you render it in Studio you would run the risk that the finished file would be over 4.3GB, thus causing DVDA to render it again in order to fit on a standard DVD disc.

So, I believe your safest bet, assuming DVDA accepts the file, is to let it do all the work and ensure a single render, which is always preferable.
