converting NTSC to PAL

I'm looking to make some VHS copies of my short film to send to PAL land and want to convert the movie to a PAL VHS tape. From what I've read, all I have to do to convert the material is render it to Pal.
If this is correct, then would I only need a PAL vhs vcr and print it to tape running it through a transcoder like my (NTSC) pd150 or a canopus advc100? And this may be a stupid question but I can't find the answer to it anywhere, but would I need to buy PAL VHS tapes? Hope not as I bought a whole slew of tapes from the store the other day and I'm in NTSC land.
Sorry for my ignorance and thanks for any help!

Yes, you do need a PAL vcr, and any tape will do - PAL tape speed is less than NTSC, so a 30 min NTSC tape will accept maybe 40 mins of PAL.

You won't be able to use your camcorder for the print to tape step since it's NTSC only. The ADVC-100 should be able to handle PAL though.
