Are you having trouble importing .mov files into timeline?

yes I am, I have never tried before. I just registered at artbeats and they give away a free stock video clip upon registration. I downloaded it and can play it just fine but I cannot drop it into the timeline.

I'm not sure what the prob is.......someone know anything about this? I'm able to bring in ALL the .mov files (with audio or not)into my timeline from various sources.
There is a sample .mov file inside of the Quicktime program folder. See if you can bring that in, or render to .mov and see if you can bring the render into timeline.

It MAY be a copy protection from Artbeats, but that doesn't make sense....

DO you have Quicktime installed? Latest version with AUTHORING/PRODUCTION tools?

I just installed their free player so that I could view the file. Is this enough or do I have to purchase their full version?

No, you don't need to purchase, but upon install or update, make sure you select the option of the ability to "author". It's not full power, but you will be able to render to .mov files, the audio won't be that great, but it's good for internet.

maybe a reboot??? after install of latest options. can you now drag files into timeline?
