cookie cutter effect only displays on right half of screen

just upgraded to vegas pro 15. I just installed on my computer and have been playing around with my frequently used tools/effects from prior versions. I frequently use the cookie cutter effect to circle something in a screenshot. When I tried this in new program, I saw a half circle, and when I position to the right I can see the whole thing, and it vanishes as i move past midway to the left.

I assume I inadvertently chose to default mask half screen or something. Seems like a basic fix but I can't figure out what I did. Restarting program doesn't help. Thanks for any assistance!

On your video preview window, there is a button in between the fx button and your preview quality setting that, when toggled, will only show any effects applied on half of the image. Make sure it is off.

No problem! It can actually come in handy when you are color correcting/grading and would like to see a quick reference of what the image used to look like.
