As you know vegas doesn't have the best built in transitions so it's always nice to learn a new way to use one. Found this video while looking for something else.
Thanks for sharing this. Actually, I think Vegas does have some nice built-in transitions but some do feel outdated or cliche. I like this video because it shows that if you know your way around the program, you can pretty much create any transition you want.
Don't forget Vegas Pro offers the "Gradient Wipe" transition. So you can use any gradient graphic you want as a base of the transitions which offers endless variations of transition patterns. It lacks a border option, though.
Upload, what? "Gradient Wipe" is a standard Vegas Pro transition. If you opened its window you can either select one of the pre-defined transitions or select a path to your own gradient graphic file.

yes, it would be such a powerfull transition if it would be able to select a border. aber leider fehlt genau das...
I never did that Marco, how do you set that up?
ohh you can upload
I like cross effect especially for text or objects. And I think page peel is pretty cool when you pair with a sound effect.
just make a gradient graphic in photoshop, affinity or any picture editing software, than you can load it into the gradient wipe and safe it. like that
The way star wipe is used in this tutorial might be able to replicate this transition. Maybe make the border thick and overlay a few instances of the transition back to back or maybe use solids with these settings and no border overlayed or back to back.
