Copied'&'Pasted text scrolling?

With all those new text generators, which is the simplest one to use with credit roll (nothing fancy)?

The "Credit Roll" doesn't seem to be able to accept my copy and paste text. So I'd like to use a more basic one which does, but how do I animate it so that it scrolls up smoothly?

Use keyframes at the beginning and end of the roll in conjunction with the Placement tab to set the start and end positions of the text for you.
Remember to set the length of the roll in the text properties box accordingly or you'll end up with a repeat if you stretch it out too far.

Copy/Paste work fine for me with the Credit Roll

"Copy/Paste work fine for me with the Credit Roll "

- you mean one line at a time?

rs170a, and Dave T2:

- I know I need to use timing, etc. - but which of the 4 text generators do you mean?

I remember it was fairly easy back at the time of VP 9, but now I'm at loss...

No, I can paste several lines.

IF you examine the text generator roll function, you will notice that it is primarily a text event with odd proportions. It will be 720 pixels wide (for NTSC) but will be extreamely tall. Maybe several thousand pixels. Then it is panned (tilted actually) up using keyframes.

You can do the same thing with a graphic created in programs like Photoshop or you can create a single text event and do it as well.

I prefer using external graphics and putting a move on it. It renders faster and the text is much clearer.
