Copy and paste between projects

I've used copy and paste between projects a number of times but once I tried to copy a section of a project that had volume envelopes. Everything pasted Ok except the envelopes. Does anyone know how to do this or is it not possible? I'm using VMSHD Platinum 10.

If it didn't do it, it doesn't do it. Just render-out that specific part in an intermediate codec, or redo it.

Track level items do not copy. The volume envelope is a track level envelope so it won't copy.
