copy inhibit

will not render to tape.
deck is Sony DSR11
text pops up on external monitor
"Copy Inhibit"
Is this a software problem
or Deck problem?

Sounds like a tape problem - is the copy protection slider closed or open?

yellow text comes up "copy inhibit"
tape deck stops recording.

This has come up before. Seem to recall something in the vision stream convinces the deck the tape has record lockout set.

Don't know if the post was on this forum or the DVInfo Long Black Line.
