is there any way to copy region & markers from one VV
window to another open VV window ? i have 3-60min clips i
have edited down to 18min ea. of selects takes( not
rendered out yet) . they have region and markers on the
timeline and each is a separate VV veg file. i would like
to put ALL 3 edited versions into 1 VV window and have ALL
makers and regions be there. i can then render out 1 60min
clip with regions and markers. i can then transfer this 60
min clip back to DV tape. VV will now have a list of ALL
start and end timecodes of ALL regions and markers that
will pretty much match the time code on the new DV tape. i
can reference (copy/paste) my region/marker notes into a
excel sheet to print out.

any other suggestions on the above.

i was able to come up with a way to copy markers/regions
from one VV window to another VV window ...

after editing down my 3 60 min clips to approx 18 min each.
each 60min clip had its own VEG file. now i want to put
all 3 18 min edited clips into 1 VV window and bring ALL
markers and regions with them.

i open my clip 1 VEG file in VV . i now open clip 2 veg in
new VV window. ( all 3 clips start at 00:00:00;00)
clip 1 ends at 18min on time line, i will now bring in clip
2 at 20min on clip 1 time line .. now in clip 2 time line i
INSERT 20 min of time at 00:00:00 ( ripple must be on so
the region/markers slide) NOW clip 2 starts at 20 min. i
SELECT ALL and COPY ...now over in clip 1 VV i paste at 20
min on time line .. NOW in clip 2 (edit details ) i hi-
light all the regions and copy (ctrl c) .. now back in clip
1 edit details- region area ( say the last region was #
15 ) i hi-light #16 and then PASTE and ALL the regions
notes from clip 2 will now be there ... i repeat same for
markers ... now all of clip 2 markers/regions will be in
clip 1 time line ... clip 1 now ends at 38 min .. i'll now
paste in clip 3 at 40 min ..and repeat the process. i'll
have to INSERT 40min of TIME into clip 3 VV window ...

now once i have all 3 clips in same window with all regions
and markers ... i'll now copy and paste regions into a
excel sheet ..then copy paste all markers into same excel
sheet ( you'll have to cut and paste the marker notes to
line up with region notes inside the excel sheet) ..next i
A-Z the START of the time codes and NOW all region and
markers will be in acending time code ..so a region that
had markers notes within it will now be there ..IE a region
that had 6 markers within it will now show within that
region on excel sheet ( you don't see this in VV edit
details layout) ......

i now render out the new 60min clip and transfer it to DV
tape ...i now have all my notes on excel sheet ..
the notes are within 2 frames of the time code on the new
DV tape ..

in vegas capture i set the print to tape options at
3000/233 ... with my panasonic 2000 deck i record either 20
sec of black or color bars ... next i set the dv tape at
00:00:01:17 ... i then hit PRINT TO TAPE ...

i have 70 hrs of tape ( documentary) . i want to get it
down to 12-15 hrs of selects. then hand this 15 hrs of
selects to a editor. i'll also be able to hand over all the
region/marker notes with time codes ....
