copy sequence into new project

How do I copy a sequence from a project into another new project. In order words I want to reuse a sequence of my present project and create a new project with only that sequence. The sequence I want to copy has not be rendered yet either.
I looked in the search previous threads, but can't find what I want to do.
Thanks out there....

From what I understand we can't do this in VF. However, as you suggest, rendering sequnce will give you a "closed" clip available for import into new project - but it will be closed.

I suppose one could make a "copy" of total proj1 as proj2 then delete all those things you don't want in proj2, a bit like a progressively developed Word document or Excel.

I see that you have not found a discussion on this but I am almost certainly correct we have. Have a look-see through the Search facility. I'll have a go as well!!

What do you think?

NelMichel - Try "Combine Projects" or "New Projects" in the search facility. There's quite a bit of help... maybe not what you are after, but may give you another solution.

A while back someone suggested copying the sequence (Crtl+c)from one project then exiting VF, then reloading VF, create new project, then pasting (Crtl+v) into newly created project. I've done this successfully, but with 'titles' it only copies the properties and not the actual content. It's a bit protracted but apparently the clipboard will retain the data better this way. The other way is as Grazie suggests by coping the project as 'save as'. Another way already suggested is to render the sequence as avi which can then be pulled into any project as required.

Has anyone recommended this feature to be included in future verions of VF ?
I haven't wanted to do this myself but I can see the time when I would find it very useful.

Thanks everybody.... I will have to render my first project and somehow copy the portion I want and rerender it... I thought there would be a more "friendly way" to do this simple need....toooo bad.
