Most of the newer disc burning software packages can write to DVDs, and most have a disc copy function. If you've got the new Roxio or Nero you can choose the Copy Disc function. A DVD is simply a data disc with video files and a few other support files stored in the proper directories.

I usually make the DVD in two steps. First I just create the image on my hard drive. Then I burn a test copy from the hard drive image to DVD-RW. If I’m happy with that, I burn my regular copies from the same hard drive image. This seems to be the best way to make copies and QA DVD’s.

I don't even really quite go this far. Using DVDA, an image is created when the disk is prepared. Prepare to a folder, open the project, and it's a quick re-burn or duplicate burn. Nothing more to do.
