Copying Sections (events with track-level keyframes)

Kit-As-Was wrote on 10/26/2016, 5:36 PM

I know about Ctrl-Drag to make a new copy of an event but is there a way to drag a copy of the keyframes on the track with the event? I guess I'm thinking of the Sections feature in Acid which will create a copy of everything within the section. Or perhaps lock the track level keyframes to the event so that they get copied with the event? Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Try turn on the 'Lock Envelopes to Events' (second button from the right), and it will copy-paste (or move along) the envelope with the event clip.

It is working with keyframes too as long as pasted to the same track. Doesn't work for copying the event to different track. The only alternative way would be duplicate the track.

If the keyframes / envelope is outside the event clip, adding Empty event (right click on the empty section of the timeline > Insert empty event) can help move those keyframes / envelopes

Thanks, Set, the tip about empty events was especially useful. It took a little trial and error but I was able to duplicate my "section" nine times, just right for the project I am working on.
