Has to be on the keypad.

You deleted your response from Spot's thread, didn't you?
Which explains why I got the message "couldn't find the message to reply to" :-)

Anyway, make sure you're using the numeric keypad. Forgot to mention that.

BTW, Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map gives you all the different symbols that you can access - such as ® and ¢. You'll have to do a "select > copy > paste" to get some of these symbols because they don't use the Alt key.

AHHH , Cool! what other secrets hide in the "Alt"-er world.
Is there a reference somewhere or is it only for "those in the know"
How'd you know that?
Thanks!

Yeah , I deleted my message in Spots thead, I figured it would clutter up his post especially if I didn't get it!

I wish!! Then I'd always pick the right numbers for the big lottery :-)
After I sent my response, it occurred to me that you (and others) might like to know how to get a lot of other symbols that don't normally show up on a North American keyboard - such as £ instead of $ when you're giving prices to Grazie.

There's a list of keypad characters at the link below. It's not complete but could be a useful starting point.

Thanks Richard!!
I knew what a Tilde was was but never did know what the other accent marks were called (I flunked high school French miserably) :-)
