Correct alpha channel type for DJ lower-thirds?

What is the correct alpha channel type to set Digital Juice animated lower-thirds to in Vegas Pro 8.0c?

Is the correct choice "straight (unmatted)" or "premultiplied (dirty)"?

Always import it straight

If you get a halo around the channel then its premultiplied

Related question: Should I be color correcting the DJ clips from Computer to Studio RGB? Cause I notice on the scopes that they definitely go above 100 IRE and below 7.5IRE if I don't correct them.

Only thing is, if I correct them, in these lower thirds I'm using which are Christmas lights, I tend to get a bit of a gray border around them, versus not seeing that if I leave them outside of the legal NTSC spec.

There is no 7.5 IRE setup in digital video.

I too have struck that halo problem, as far as I can see it's a bug in Vegas. Same media, same compositing mode in another app and there's no halo.

Whatever I did I was getting a bur on the A channel so in the end always rendered out those clips in Boris
