corrupt .veg files

Is there anyway to attempt to repair corrupt .veg files? I have one that loads to 20% and then sits there. It makes Vegas hang at that point, to the extent that you can still try to cancel it, but a requester pops up asking if you want to cancel the operation, but nothing happens if you choose YES. I end up having to kill the process to close Vegas.

Hi fong,

You might try using the veg.bak file (provided you have the option selected to create one).

You might also try the autosave files, if you have that option checked too.

Just for future reference, if you've downloaded the full version of an update (not the smaller patch file), there's no need to install previous versions first. You can install the 3.0c version without a previous installation; it's the complete software package on it's own.

note: How odd! I added this as a reply to lightfoot's "veg file error" thread, but it ended up here instead. Weird.
