corrupt vegas project

When I go to open my vegas project i get the message " an error ocurred while loading the project file. The file coud not be created. Another file with that name exists."

Any ideas?
I am running a pentium 4 with Windows XP, Vegas 5.0b

Somewhere, somehow, you've gotten two bin files with the same name.
Look for the filename with .bak following the filename, it's a backup file. It might allow you to open the project. If it does, immediately save it with new bin names.
Another thing to try is search for the filename, and rename one of the two with the same name so that they are different.

You have named two media bins the same. Upgrade to 5.0d and this project will open. They fixed this error in that vesion.
