"could not access network location"

I'm simply trying to install the software (VMS 9) and can't get through the installation wizard due the message...

"could not access network location" followed by some Asian characters. Can anyone tell me if they have run across this issue before. I can't tell if I've been swindled by some bootleg software or if this is a normal problem faced by some. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This does not sound like anything associated with a normal installation.

Since you suspect you've been "swindled by some bootleg software" I assumed you paid a low price from a non-mainstream vendor, and probably downloaded the app. Talk to Sony Customer Service and find out for sure. They don't bite.

I paid a low price from a non-mainstream vendor -yes, hence my apprehension. It was boxed, sealed appropriately and has the UPC, manuals, etc. But you never know.

I'll check customer service. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm getting the same message and I bought my copy last night from the online Sony music store.

Getting the same error message for DVD architect and Cinescore studio. They won't install either.

Very frustrating!! Can anyone help?
