Yes, that is normal.
If your files (not menus) are rendering in Architect, there's been something not done right prior.

And, since you are kind enough to answer silly qestions of a DVDA newbie, may I ask one more. Once you wrote that you prepare a disc, preview the result, and only then burn it. What software do you use to preview the prepared disc?

Any software DVD player will do.
I play my DVDs with VLC.

VLC which I downloaded recently reports that temporarily (?) they do not provide an .iso plug-in. I started using Daemon Tools Pro.

Sorry for overlooking the obvious.
For BluRay ISO, I play in DVDFab Media Player. I like it.
My default player for DVD is VLC.
