CRASH loading .TS with .mp2 audio inside

I have a bunch of files produced by my hauppage HD PVR 2 the files are .TS container with H264 video and .mp2 audio inside. All of these files crash Movie Stdio 13. It hangs and hangs and won't respond. More clikcing around leads to "end program" option. What is going on here? I have a bunch of files I need to edit, hours of gameplay.

Search "Hauppage" on these forums.
Are you sure it's mp2 audio? Download MediaInfo.

It is definitely mpeg 2 audio. The default haupage is aac but for some reason I switched it to mpeg2 audio and these files have the problem. Now that I switched it back to aac audio the new files work fine but I have a tonne of footage crashing vegas.

Well, you'll have to remux them with compatible audio, AVIDemux should work. Experiment.
