Crash on "Render As"

Just subscribed to Vegas Pro last week but I couldn't even do my first render because the Render As command crashes the software. Not a great first impression. Anyone has ideas on how to resolve this?

Some people prefer to read FAQ and provide some information about system, sources, project settings, used filters, render settings, etc.
