Crash when capture video

I just hooked up a new Viewsonic VX2255wm monitor and it has a webcam built in. I tried captuing video with it several times and Vegas 13 crashed. Here's the error message:

FF? Have you done this before successfully? Are you capturing through USB?

No I've not done it sucessfully before. I just got this monitor and just noticed it had a cam built in so thought I'd try it out. It is commected USB. This is my first attempt.

SONY VidCap.exe is for Firewire.

I knew that. Always used it with FW, just never realized it was ONLY FW.

It is probably just the driver for the cheap camera that they installed in the monitor. I do not use Vidcap that often, but mine works fine capturing from an non-DV Osprey card I have for analog sources.
