Crash when editing text event

Like the subject says, Vegas 20-370 is always crashing when i edit a text event.

The text events are in a nested project.

I have the translated text in a txt file and do a simple copy paste to replace the original text.

As soon as i copy the text from the txt file and go back to Vegas, crash (vegas20.exe error from the pop up window)

If i untick close media when not in the active application, no more crash.

Using Windows 11, latest update, cpu 12900hx, 64GB Ram, 3080ti studio driver 522.3, i/o sets to intel qsv, video processing to nvidia.

Anyone has the same issue?

Never seen an issue like this but you say "translated text." Is there a problem with the specific font or language you are using?

Vegas crashes when i focus back on it after copying the text from the txt file. I have no time to paste it on the vegas text event.

I see, so despite the title this isn't really about text events but about VEGAS crashing when it's no longer the focused application?

Correct.

I'm also having a crash when i import png files directly from windows explorer to the timeline. Importing using Vegas build-in explorer, no issue. It might be related.
