Crash when "Render As" unless h265 video is in Media Bin

If you get a crash when you try to do File > Render As, try adding to the Media Bin an h265 video next time before trying to render.

No matter what, to get the Render As dialog to appear without getting a crash, I need an h265 video in the Media Bin. The video does not need to be on the timeline. For a while I always had at least one h265 video in the Media Bin, and never crashed. Then I starting working on projects with just mp4 AVC videos, and always crashed. After a while it dawned on me what the problem was.
