Crashes after upgrade pop is closed

I upgraded to Vegas Pro 18 unfortunately shortly before 19 came out and was denied the upgrade. Fine. But now when I start Vegas Pro 18 I get a popup of a special offer to purchased Pro 19 and 20 and, after closing the popup, Vegas crashes and I'm prompted with sending a message to Magix about the problem. Not a productive workflow. Perhaps someone can help advise as this is the first time I've had repeated crashing from start since I purchased Vegas 7.

Yes, I get that pop-up when opening VP18 - but not the crash. Perhaps try going to Options/Preferences/General (tab) and uncheck 'Use Newsfeed to stay informed .... ' which hopefully will stop the pop-up offer.

@Mimo next time you get the error window to send to Magix, there are two boxes that you can check mark, and you can see what might possibly be causing your crash. You can also take a screen shot of it and add it to your reply.

As for being denied VP19 at the time of your purchase, VEGAS usually starts spamming the new release 1 month or so. Like now 1.5months in advance if you want to get VP20 and you purchase VP19.

I was finally able to get it to stop by quickly loading another profile and then dismissing the popup before the crash. On the next load I was able to work. We'll see how long this works out.
