Crashes when editing text from saved file

Having an issue with Vegas Image where if I go back into a file that I have saved and try to edit a text element it crashes the program. If I create a copy of the text element and attempt to edit it, it also crashes. But if I add a new text element from that session I can freely edit it like normal. But if I save and come back to it and attempt to edit that new text element, it crashes.

I have the same problem Snarf. The only way I can work with it is to save a pre-set of the text line in the design and each time I open it to do an update I delete the original line and make a new line using the pre-set which has saved all my design elements. Not a solution but just manageable.

Yep, I get the same thing. Shame there's hasn't been a bug fix update release in a year (this isn't the only bug!), and now there never will be.

So the way that I've been getting around the problem is I make a new text element in the project, then I just copy and paste from the old element to the new one then delete the old text element.

It's a shame that we will never get an update or a fix for this, Vegas Image has been a great little piece of software for creating simple thumbnails and is incredibly more lightweight than Photoshop. I clocked myself one time, even with having to do my whole copy paste method above, I was able to open Vegas Image, update the thumbnail, export, and save the file in the time that it took for Photoshop to even open.
