I have the same exact problem. Other similar programs work just fine. Even other ver of Magix/vegas software.

So I know the PC can handle the job/files. I have reinstalled it a few times and changed some settings. I have not uninstalled other software, and I´m not going to. I have several different programs that must coexist. And all the others do.

Nothing has worked. So now I´ll await some patch or something. I have a limit on how far I´m willing to troubleshoot a brand new product :) This is a problem that just should not be. Open media files are sort of the programs main job, hehe

It crashes every time I try to add an mp4. Audio and pictures work fine. This wasn't an issue when I used trials of different products, I don't think it's to do with my computer's speed.

I can add sound/pics too, but the same crap happens when I, for example, try to render to a new track.
