This is definitely not an issue that I am able to reproduce. Make sure that you have the latest drivers installed for your video card, and please download and install the latest version of Vegas from our downloads page. Before you install the newer verison of Vegas, please uninstall the old version.

I must be a lucky guy because I read all about people having crashing issues with Vegas and I have no such problem. I am using the LE version that was part of ACID 3.0 I purchased (maybe LE is more stable due to less features?) and it works great for me. No issues what so ever. I am running this on an old pile of crap PII 300 w/ 128mb ram, 12 gig, 8 gig IDE drives, Lexicon Core-2 w/ EFX (Got the whole thing for $200! People have had issues with this one too... not me :>), Riva TNT 32 video card, D-link LAN card, SoundBlaster (for midi connections) TDK 16X burner. My experience has been very favorable with this setup and I get excellent clean results with no issues. I also jump between Vegas, ACID 3.0, SF LE with no issues. I am not a "pro" engineer type but have done tons of "home studio" type of recording for 15 years (I'm a musician, songwriter, producer etc.) starting out with a 4-track tape, to a 8-track Fostex tape, 24-track Tascam tape, DA-88, VS-880 etc... and now the setup I have mentioned above and it works excellent.

Just sharing :>)

What version of Windows are you using? And does this happen when you remove and replace dockable windows at the docking area?

must be my video card or something. i've got an amd-ks2 380, 264 MB SDRAM, a 3d blaster card in Windows 98. i guess i'm alone on this problem. yeah, yeah, i know y'all gonna recommend an upgrade... =) other than the resizing problem, vegas is pretty stable and i'm sticking with it.

sounds like you might have overclocked you AMD K62 processor? sometimes this can create an instability (particularly with graphics cards), so try slowing down the processor, see if that fixes it.

Also, check your graphics card drivers are the latest.

If u still get problems, mail me your complete system setup (motherboard make etc) and I'll have a think.

It may be a software clash....

windows is an arse really. If only everyone was running there audio / video software on something streamlined and efficient like BEOS, or a custom operating system!!
