Crashing after about 10 min XP64

The new Vegas is great seems faster but for some reason its crashing on my XP64 machine.

I amde sure updates for frame 2.0 installed
uninstalled frame 1.1
updated video driver

not sure what else to do. previous version of vegas all worked fine on this machine and still does ..well at least until I uninstalled frame 1.1

Do you mean .Net v1.1? No need to uninstall that, v2.0 just adds additional framework. In fact, uninstalling it may have broken many things on your computer.

I would reinstall 1.1, then for grins, reinstall 2.0 after that.

that's strange - you actually don't need .NET 1.1 for VV7 - only .NET 2.

I would reinstall .NET 2.0 and then reinstall VV7 - I run it just fine on x64 XP on an AMD 388 X2 AM2 and it runs without any issues.

actually since I uninstalled net 1.1 it seems to be fine. Vegas 6.0 dosen't work anymore but vegas 7 has gone 2 hours without crashing and is now rendering a wedding overnight we will see in the morning.

Not sure if it was uninstalling net 1.1 though I did a lot of things.
ran regclean.
removed any software I wasen't using
ran virus scan came up clean.
downloaded latest update (this do do anything)

the last thing I did was remove net 1.1 .
If this wedding gets through okay I will reinstall net 1.1 and see if the problem returns.

Yes, but there are scads of programs written for v1.1 that have not been totally rewritten/recompiled for v2.0.

Success in system stability is not to rip out things you don't think are needed for your frequent programs to run.

You don't run anything else on this machine, except Vegas 7? DirectX comes to mind.

well on the XP64 pc only Vegas so I am okay.
On this PC standard XP is where everything else runs.

It does not hurt to have 1.1 and 2.0 on at the same time as was described in a previous thread by the "Forum". My Matrox video card requires 1.1 and V7 requires 2.0 and 2.0 is a separate entity as is 1.1.

Good morning, well it worked V7 didn't crash. I don't care that machine only runs Vegas so I don't need Net1.1.

I am not going to bother to test but I am preety sure it was fixed after removing Net 1.1
