Crashing at the same place

Hey everybody!

Ok, so i spent all this time on a compilation that i wanted to burn.. its awesome, so now, i've got to prepare the dvd (because i'm borrowing a burner and i have to have it ready to burn) and it crashes at the same place every time... It recompresses all the video/audio, gets to 100% then starts rendering the video objects.. at the same place every time, it blue screens while rendering "video object 4", and windows xp pro gives me a message saying "irql_not_less_or_equal"

now i know this can relate to a lot of things, mainly bad ram, but i've tested it and its fine.. and being in the exact same place every time, i'm guessing its a software issue. I'm using 1.0c (just updated off the web), so i'm not too sure what may be causing the problem.. any suggestions?

Thanks all

It can be a hardware or software issue. If you do a web search on the phrase you'll discover a whole laundry list of reasons why it happens. Since it happens at exactly the same place, that suggests the image file being created doesn't like something about the source file.

I would try another project using the same sources material, built up a little at a time in the hope you can find which file is causing the error.

The irq...error sounds like a burn-related problem. What other DVD burning apps are installed? If you can, uninstall those one at a time (starting with anything from Veritas) and see if you still crash.
