Crawling text much longer than one screens worth - How?

Hey guys, I'm trying to see if there's a way to do a credit roll style crawl but I don't see anything like it. Running Vegas 5.0b (160). Is there a way in Vegas or do I need some kind of other software to do it?

I’ve been playing with the new Vegas plug-in from Cayman Graphics Power CG and it does this quite easily and a whole lot more.

To do this in Vegas, make a generated text media that’s all one line and use track motion or pan/crop to move it across the screen.

If what you want is text crawl aka tickertape then look for my rather long post from some time ago. JohnnyRays advice is correct however you need to do smoe math to avoid having it look really bad, in fact you'll need to do even a bit more work because I've found what you end up with is canted (sloping) text and you need to compensate for that as well.

Vegas really needs a preset like this. I did a news assignment for a class that had the tickertape and i had to make like 5 of them and line them up all nice, then when i was all finished words were changed, everything was out of order and you couldn't read it because it was going so fast....but yea...i just thought i'd post a little thing
